Let’s Get Started

Hi there! If you’re reading this, you’re likely a friend, or a family member, or someone who has supported my work in the past. So thank you very much for however you’ve helped me get to this point. :)

“Eternal” was one of just eight projects chosen, out of hundreds of applicants, and this program has hosted some amazing artists — everyone from Siân Heder to Maya Angelou! I’m so proud to be part of this cohort, and so grateful to have the support and mentorship to really elevate this story.

As I say elsewhere on this site, I think this project is more important than ever. We are truly at risk of losing diverse stories, as DEI programs across the country are being cut. This story is true, and authentic, and — frankly — risky. I’ve been told directly that it’s a “hard sell.” So having the opportunity to make a “proof of concept” (a mini version to help show investors what it could be) for a feature (full 90 minute) version of this story is a huge opportunity.

This is just a quick blog post to welcome you to the project and let you know that this is the best place to get the latest. This is a year-long program, so I’ll have many more updates on progress, the process of filmmaking, and how things are going.
