March Update
As we end March, I wanted to give you a quick update:
We had a great fundraiser with Fuil Wines last weekend! Thank you to everyone who came out to support us, Black Market in Studio City for hosting, and big thanks to Carolina and Matt from Fuil for putting everything together and being so generous.
We have our second writing workshop this week, and the script is going through some big changes. I’m staying true to the spirit of the story, but it’s definitely an uncomfortable process. It feels like I’m working my way out of a cocoon; I know this is a creative evolution I want to take, but it’s still hard to conceptualize this new style. I’m also just impatient to get it done so we can start moving on locations etc. Writing is hard.
We have a casting director! We’re so thrilled to be working with Alan Luna, who has an amazing indie film pedigree. We have calls out and are starting to collect tapes - exciting!
We have raised 1/4th of our total crowdfunding goal, but our fundraising deadline is approaching quickly. If we don’t reach our minimum, we will be asked to leave the program. Now is such a crucial time to support; please donate here to keep us on track!
As we move into April, we will be making a final fundraising push, gearing up for the program intensive in late April, and starting camera tests and cast auditions.
Stay tuned!
