It’s Almost May??

It’s somehow the end of April! Here’s the latest:

• We are 50% funded!!!! It’s been a hard month of fundraising but we are so proud of our progress.

  • Do you know anyone with a matching gifts program at work? Please reach out to us and we can give you the list of relevant companies. This is the most impactful way for us to raise our full budget. Any introductions are a huge help (and we’re happy to tell you more)!

  • Or you can donate here to keep us on track. Every contribution gets us closer to our full budget and is so, SO appreciated.

• We are about to enter the workshop intensive, a three-week education module at AFI. Our mentor Lily has curated an amazing lineup of speakers, workshops, and field trips to give us the best foundation for our films. It will be great to be all together again. And at the end of the workshop we will be filming a scene and reviewing together.

• The script is done! I took some time to sit with it and tweak some things that were bugging me. It’s now in a great place and I’m feeling great about how far it has come.

May will bring camera tests, full team assembly, schedule prep, and location scouting.
